Ocora, 1972 Recorded at Ndut Trêe Pül, 6th June, 1958 Here the ensemble plays a typical sequence for this region : cing ngaan (“normal, standard” tune of the flat gongs) followed by cing bar dön (“two voice” tune). We next hear cing rleh and then cing rlaa (tune for ” giant rlaa bamboos” or, as some say, from Yôong Rlaa, the village of “the giant rlaa bamboo hill”). To finish, the musicians play the cing ngaan heard at the begining. We should note here a brief passage where the musicians hit the gong with the back of the index finger.
